After getting a strong hold in the 150cc segment, Yamaha is coming towards more economic and middle class people. This bike have pretty much decent style and design compared to its price and other bikes in the same segment.

Speaking on the launch, Mr. Yukimine Tsuji, CEO & Managing Director, India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. said, “After successfully launching our bikes in the 150cc segment, we have now launched a commuter motorcycle YBR 110 which is stylish and has good ergonomics for comfortable day to day commuting. We have been studying the entry level market and wanted to launch a new bike at an affordable price and that would give satisfactory mileage. Like other Yamaha bikes, YBR 110 carries Yamaha DNA of Performance, Innovation & Design. We are confident that we will replicate the success of our premium segment bikes with the launch of all new YBR 110 in entry level space.”

YBR 110 has electric start, air cooled 4-stroke SOHC engine which provides excellent low end torque for everyday riding. The bike has 4 speed slick gearbox with perfectly spaced gear ratios that provides optimum torque throughout the rpm range and ensures stress-free riding in congested conditions without requiring frequent gear changes.

The design of the bike is very much improved and gives excellent low end torque. At the same, the bike gives broad and comfortable seat design, so that it makes ride fatigue free for the rider and the pillion. The ideal ergonomics of seat, handlebar, riding posture, knee recess on the petrol tank are all designed for comfortable riding. The suspension is very well fitted for the Indian roads conditions, hence providing excellent driving and ride comfort. The bike has a stylish & brighter multi-reflector headlight for better visibility in night and its wind tunnel aerodynamic silhouette designed cowl has character lines that convey a sense of sharpness. Sharp graphics & grab rail add to the overall sporty style and character of the bike.

As Yamaha bikes are known for durability and low maintenance, these specs rightly fit with the ad punch line of YBR 110 which is “Mazbooti aisi ki chalti jaaye”.

Review:

The bike is one more effort of Yamaha to gain an upper hand in the low end segment, and in which they have done very well with this launch. The comfort level of bike is really good with design of the bike and at the same time looks tough too, for Indian roads. With all these the bike looks pretty much stylish too.

Bike comes with self start, which is one more nice feature in the bike. As stated above, the design of the engine provides nice low end torque, hence providing you better pickup than any other bike in this segment. This is one thing which i really loved about this bike.

Overall, the bike is a good choice for the middle class people who would need a economic bike for daily commute.
