This is one of the very most common issue most of the people face.

perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
LANGUAGE = (unset),
LC_ALL = (unset),
LC_CTYPE = “UTF-8”,
LANG = “en_US.UTF-8”
are supported and installed on your system.
perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale (“C”).

Though I really wanted to dig deeper into this but never got time and never got the inspiration as it was just something which was displayed onto the screen but was never an issue and everything will work the way they are supposed to even if you see this message.

There are various different solution available over the internet but I really don’t care much till the time I don’t see this message every time on my screen.

So simply putting this into any of the .bashrc or /etc/profile or any login script will fix this issue. You can also simply run this on the command prompt and that will fix the issue for that session.

$ export LC_ALL=C

This will fix the issue for you.

Enjoy.
