German carmaker Volkswagen has begun production of a new sedan at its Chakan plant near Pune. The car which is being positioned between the Polo hatchback and Jetta would be launched by August-September this year.
“We have already started producing the new sedan which would be bigger than Polo but smaller than Jetta. We are currently producing it in small numbers and would commercially launch it by August this year,” Kurt Rippholz, head, communications India Volkswagen group and brand, said.

Bajaj Auto, India’s No.2 motorcycle maker, which is jointly developing power bikes with Austria’s KTM, plans to launch a model in the next financial year. Both companies have been involved in the development of a variety of motorcycles over the past 24 months, starting from 125cc.
In April, Bajaj Auto said it had invested 20 million euros to raise shareholding in KTM to 35.7 percent from 31.9 percent.

Honda have recently launched it’s new tourer bike VFR1200F in Europe, the bike for which everyone have been waiting. Soon after the launch, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India Limited is considering to launch the bike in India too.
From the resources, it is pretty much clear that we can expect this bike in India in the 2010 end or in early 2011.
The new Honda VFR1200F model has 1237cc 76-degree design which flaunts latest Honda innovations. The model is powered by Unicam valvetrain, developed on the CRF450R motocrosser, with a four-valve head and flatter, more efficient combustion chamber.
